attacked anti wall protests organized in a number of West Bank villages.

Friday protests were organized in the villages of Bil’in, Nil’in, and
al Nabi Saleh in central West Bank in addition to al-Ma’ssara village in
southern West Bank. International and Israeli supporters joined the
villagers at all four locations. The protests took place shortly after
the midday prayers have ended.In al Nabi Saleh soldiers attacked
protesters before leaving the village, troops also closed the village
since early morning and tried to stop supporters from reaching the
protest. Rafat Al Barghouthi, in his twenties, was crticaly injured when
Israeli troops shot him in the head with a tear gas bomb. He was taken
to a hospital in the nearby city of Ramallah.In Bil’in village,
were people are protesting the wall for the past six years, protesters
demanded the release of Abdullah Abu Rahma a local organizer that is
jailed by the military since the start of this year for organizing the
weekly nonviolent actions against the Israeli wall being built on local
farmers lands.As soon as protesters reached the gate of the wall
separating local farmers from their lands soldiers fired tear gas at
them, local sources reported.In the nearby Nil’in village people
conducted the Friday prayers on lands near the wall the n marched up to
the gate of the wall were Israeli soldiers used tear gas to force them
back to their village.The protest in al Ma’ssara village was
stopped by Israeli troops at the entrance of the village, farmers and
their supporters were trying to reach their lands where Israeli is
building the wall, soldiers used tear gas to force people back to the
village.
